WHO WE ARE
The Social Justice through Sport Psychology and Exercise Symposium is a platform for bringing together sport and exercise psychology researchers and practitioners whose work focuses on social justice and praxis, marginalized communities, participants lacking scholarly attention, or that falls outside the positivist mainstream of sport psychology.
Our aim is to create a community of individuals who seek to make a difference in the world of sport psychology and promote social justice.
We believe that sport and exercise psychology should not only focus on performance and achievement, but also on promoting social justice and equity for all individuals, regardless of their
background, identity, or circumstance.
Our Mission
At SJSEP, our mission is to promote social justice and praxis through sport and exercise psychology research and practice. We strive to create a platform for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and promoting equal opportunities
for all individuals.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a community of individuals who actively contribute to the field of sport and exercise psychology, with a focus on marginalized communities and individuals who have been overlooked by traditional approaches to
sport psychology.
